UAE based KEF Holdings celebrated the launch of its projects in India & UAE with a gala event at the Dubai World Trade Center.
Attended by prominent personalities from the global business, academia, diplomatic and arts community including the two time Grammy Award and Academy Award winning composer, musician and singer, Mr. AR Rahman and H.E. Mr. T.P. Seetharam, Ambassador of India to UAE, the event showcased the projects of KEF Holdings in the areas of Healthcare, Infrastructure, Agriculture and Education. The evening also included a Musical Performance by students of AR Rahman's famed 'KM Music Conservatory'.
Speaking on the occasion, Faizal Kottikollon, Chairman KEF Holdings said, "We are delighted to announce unveil our projects that we believe will make a very positive contribution to not only these countries but the rest of the world as well. KEF is passionate about supporting activities that will better the lives of the underprivileged, and these projects are our first important steps that will enable us to create models of social entrepreneurship which can be replicated in any part of the globe."
KEF Holdings operates in six separate verticals: Healthcare, Infrastructure, Agriculture, Education, Investments, and Metals with phase 1 focused on India and phase 2 will include the UAE and other countries.
During the event, KEF Holdings presented many innovative and notable projects in infrastructure, agriculture and healthcare with internationally renowned partners through an immersive, audio-visual experience.
An important project for the company in infrastructure is their fully integrated precast and prefabricated industrial campus using the latest precast concrete technology. Precast technology allows projects to be completed in a shorter duration with better quality. The massive campus also includes a prefabricated bathrooms unit, joinery and aluminum unit allowing KEF to deliver turn-key, design to build solutions for hospitals, educational institutions and other commercial projects.
Another project introduced by KEF Holdings was a model, integrated organic farm in Mangalore, Karnataka. The farm, the first of its kind in India, includes high tech processes and techniques such as climate controlled systems such as biospheres to achieve the best crop yields. These self-sustainable farming methods have minimal impact on the environment for people who live and work in it. KEF Holdings will work to upgrade the livelihoods of 5,000 farmers every year by training them in organic farming.
In the field of healthcare, the company announced the opening of a world-class, 500 bed high-end, tertiary care hospital in the city of Kozhikode (Calicut) in Kerala in partnership with the PeeKay Group, a leading business group in Kozhikode and Dr. Faizal Ali, a renowned Cardiologist in Kozhikode. KEF Healthcare is also working with some of the most eminent physicians and thought leaders in healthcare and medical technology experts from Cleveland Clinic, TAHPI and research departments of renowned universities. The projects of KEF Healthcare will directly address challenges in healthcare faced by countries globally such as the rising cost of healthcare. Presentations on the future of KEF Healthcare were made by Dr. Mohaymen Abdelghany, VP for Healthcare, KEF Holdings, Mr. Aladin Niazmand, Managing Director of TAHPI who highlighted new approaches to address infrastructure challenges such as cost and time, and Dr. Wael Barsoum, Head of Surgical Operations and Board Member of the Cleveland Clinic and also a member of the KEF Healthcare Board who presented the KEF model to improve clinical and operational efficiencies. Prof. Dr. Peter Fitzgerald, Director of the Center for Cardiovascular Technology at Stanford University shed light on innovative efforts that are able to lower healthcare technology costs.
Mrs. Shabana Faizal, Vice Chairman of KEF Holdings and the Faizal & Shabana Foundation gave the Vote of Thanks and spoke about how much of an impact on social development of communities these projects would have. KEF Holdings has also been active in charitable initiatives in India & internationally through the Faizal & Shabana Foundation which she oversees. The Foundation is the philanthropic arm of KEF Holdings and was formed on KEF's strong belief in its social responsibility towards the upliftment of those in need. The Foundation has been actively involved in various charitable initiatives in India, the UAE and other parts of the World. The foundation has supported activities designed to improve and better the lives of those in need.
