Food lovers in the GCC familiar with jones the grocer, the Australian, gourmet food emporium will be delighted to know that the brand's first Doha store is set to open in April 2012. The architecturally designed space will be located in the luxury environs of The Gate, the high end mall that is fast carving out a niche as the shopping magnet for sophisticated consumers. This move underlines the success of the jones the grocer brand in the GCC over the past three years, and will be its seventh venue in the region. Further MENA expansion is expected to be confirmed later this year.

The jones the grocer concept combines a café element with a gourmet retail offering, aimed to provide a complete and interactive gourmet food experience, from shopping to dining, occasions and education. The new store will have all of the award-winning jones the grocer offering our customers world-wide have come to enjoy. The vibrant and contemporary café will offer an a la carte menu of modern Australian cuisine with international influences for breakfast, lunch and dinner. True to its origins, the food will be fresh, uncomplicated and delicious using natural ingredients, to be enjoyed either inside, or al fresco, on the spacious outdoor terrace area.

The retail section offers a full and exciting selection of fine groceries from Australia and internationally. jones the grocer products are handmade, natural, preservative and additive free to ensure the highest standard of quality and flavour. These can be enjoyed by customers through in-store product tastings and in the café. In addition to premium groceries, customers will find a European delicatessen, walk-in cheese room, freshly baked breads and pastries, organic beverages, stylish homewares and premium gifts and hampers.

Customers will enjoy a selection of artisan breads and tempting pastries handmade and freshly baked in store throughout the day; discover and sample the finest cheeses from around the world in the walk-in cheese room; or share a platter of Mediterranean antipasti and meats from the deli and charcuterie selection.

Also in-store, customers will be able to experience an interactive tea and coffee counter where a dedicated barista will showcase freshly ground, seasonal, single origin and cup of excellence beans brewed using methods that best suit the characteristics of the bean or leaf.

Customers will be able to enjoy a full culinary experience at jones the grocer Doha with master classes and food appreciation events set to be regularly held in store.
