Amman - The newly launched Istiklal Mall recently installed PROGAS's Bulk LPG technology to provide its 15 restaurants with a safe, reliable and cost-effective energy supply. Istiklal Mall chose PROGAS technology for its proven efficiency in the market, which has already been installed in numerous restaurants and another recently opened mall.
PROGAS, the first in Jordan to market and supply bulk Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), installed a 1,450 gallon tank outside Istiklal Mall to serve the mall's restaurants including Burger King, Popeye's, Texas Chicken, Chili House, Lebnani Snack, Quick Meal and others. A wide range of appliances in restaurants operate on LPG including cooking appliances, water heating and central heating.
Mr. Khaled Abu Hassan, General Manager of the Jordanian Company for Shopping Centers/Istiklal Mall said: "We chose to install PROGAS's bulk LPG technology after a comprehensive study of the technology and learning from the experiences of PROGAS users. Considering that PROGAS provides a state of the art, safe and reliable technology, in addition to saving our tenants approximately 15% in total gas consumption compared to the traditional gas cylinders, we decided that it would be a more suitable source of energy for the mall and its restaurants."
He added, "The considerable decrease in cost is definitely important for us, but safety remains our biggest priority. PROGAS implements the most stringent international safety standards with our tanks stored underground and monitored regularly by a professional team of technicians. Each of the 15 restaurants at the Mall has also been equipped with a meter and a gas leak detector."
Saba Salti, PROGAS General Manager, added that "PROGAS bulk LPG technology is ideal for bulk LPG consumers such as restaurants. We provide customers with a clean, safe and cost efficient alternative energy source that will also save clients between 15%-20% on gas consumption when compared to the more commonly used gas cylinders. Our customers also benefit from a 24/7 professional service that regularly monitors and maintains their installations".
Mr. Salti continued to say, "PROGAS is dedicated to enhancing the gas industry in Jordan and expanding its services to a wider range of clients. Our technology is suitable for residential, commercial or industrial enterprises".
PROGAS's bulk LPG technology is safely stored underground with gas being delivered to appliances through a network of pipes that can be installed within a week. The technology used is considered the safest and most efficient in the sector and is installed according to the US National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes 54 and 58.
Al Mukhtar Mall's restaurants have also installed PROGAS bulk LPG and are experiencing considerable savings in energy costs.
