Amman, 06 February 2011 - The IBC Jordan held a welcoming event for the new Iraqi Ambassador, His Excellency Dr. Juwad Hadi Abbas, at the Royal Hotel, Amman. The event was attended by The Iraqi Embassy staff and a large number of Iraqi and Jordanian businessmen, in addition to representatives of the media.
Welcoming speeches were made by Dr. Majid AlSadi (President of IBC JO) and Sheikh B'zia AlGaood. His Excellency Dr. Juwad Hadi Abbas also gave a speech emphasizing the importance of strengthening the business relations between Iraq and Jordan and providing required services, such as medical assistance, to Iraqis living in Jordan.

The IBC was established in late 2006 and provides a forum for Iraqi businessmen to exchange collaborative views and ideas and to share trade information and work together to provide business opportunities through trade and social missions and to identify investment opportunities between the Republic of Iraq and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Also, the IBC collaborates with the Jordanian Ministerial Committee to help the Iraqi business community and further develop Iraq-Jordan economic relations.
