Iran is to launch its first private international submarine fiber network by Pishgaman with the capacity of 4200Gbps, said Mr. Jawkar, CEO of Pishgaman Kavir Asia, in an interview with Teyf Research & Consulting Group. Mr. Jowkar mentioned "After negotiating with Telecommunication Infrastructure Company (TIC) of Iran, we received the license of the project which provides us the permission to transmit international traffic between Iran and international gateways up to 200Gbps." He also added "The network in the first phase will be connected through Chabahar gateway by six 10Gbps links. These links are based on DWDM technology with the capacity of 40Gbps."

It is important to note that Teyf Group as the think-tank of Iran telecom sector plans to hold the 2nd IP Transit Summit on July 10, 2012.
