Ms Universe, Lara Dutta and Film Star Kunal Kapoor to promote the books
Tuesday, 1 May 2007: 'We are happy to extend our support to the Art of Living Foundation (AOLF). Their books are appreciated all over the world and we are privileged to introduce them in the UAE,' says Mr. Gangu Batra, Group CEO of Jashanmal National Company.
Jashanmal Bookstores are collaborating with the Art of Living Foundation to exclusively distribute their books in the UAE and Bahrain. This new venture will be marked by a special event where two of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's (Founder of AOLF) books - Celebrating Love and Wisdom for the New Millenium will be introduced here.
Ms. Universe 2000 and Film personality, Ms. Lara Dutta, and Rising Indian Film Star of 'Rang De Basanti' fame, Mr. Kunal Kapoor will be talking about AOLF and signing copies of these books for the public at Jashanmal Bookstores in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Celebrating Love is a compilation of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's weekly discourses on dealing with violence, fear, anger; dispassion; service; spirituality and more. Wisdom for the New Millenium focuses on subjects such as creating the ultimate relationship; healing with consciousness; love, ego and the purpose of life. These books aim to promote the development of human values, assist individuals to reach their full potential, and teach management of our minds and emotions.
'As a bookstore chain we feel responsible to broaden the general community's reading experience by providing them a wide selection of books and publications not just in mainstream categories but also those of special interest. We have been in the business for almost a hundred years and understand the growing needs of our community,' comments Mr. Batra.
Lara Dutta and Kunal Kapoor will launch the books at 4pm on 5 May, 2007 at the Jashanmal Bookstores in Mall of the Emirates, Dubai and at 5pm on 8 May, 2007 at Abu Dhabi Mall.
