Muscat, Oman, 9 January 2007 - Interiors & Buildex, a major exhibition for Oman's building and construction industry, is now being held annually and is scheduled at the Oman International Exhibition Centre on May 15-17 in response to the strong demand for all types of building materials in the sultanate.
"With the large number of development projects currently under construction in Oman, attractive opportunities exist for all companies directly serving the industry," said C.J. Paul, general manager of Omanexpo LLC, the leading exhibition management company in the sultanate
Paul pointed out that the exhibition will showcase a wide variety of building materials such as cement and concrete products, ceramics and tiles, pipes and plumbing fixtures as well as marble, granite and construction equipment. The international exhibition will also showcase the latest air-conditioning systems, bathroom fittings, home dcor and furnishings, security systems, and many other products.
According to Paul, the market in Oman for these products is growing rapidly with the construction of new hotels, industrial plants, luxury villas and apartments, and other prestigious properties in various parts of the sultanate. More major projects are set to be implemented soon as the country aims to further diversify its economy and to attract more tourists into the country.
"Interiors & Buildex 2007 offers an ideal opportunity for local and international companies to proudly show what they offer to the building and construction industry in Oman," Paul stressed. "Participating in the exhibition will enable these companies to highlight the features of their products and to further strengthen their position in the market."
First held in 2003, Interiors & Buildex has evolved over the years as the premier exhibition for everything related to the requirements of the building and construction industry in Oman. In last year's edition of the event, among the companies that participated were Abou Nabil LLC, Abu Hani Establishment LLC, the Al Nasr Group of Companies, Al Turki Enterprises, Best Gulf Trading, Excel Coatings (Middle East) LLC, Muscat Electronics, North Ocean Trading & Contracting, Oman Marketing & Services Co., and Professional Tiles Co.
