Sunday August 19th, 2007- For its 4th consecutive year, InterContinental Mzaar had the pleasure to host one of the most challenging rally events of the year, the "4X4 Criterium du Liban".
This race is yearly organized by ATCL (Automobile & Touring Club du Liban) and held in Ouyoun El Simane, Kfardebiane; a famous region with natural resources and perfect landscapes for hosting challenging sports competitions.
The 10 participants started the race with a trial round at 10.00am followed by 3 official heats.
The 3 winners -1st ELIE DAGHER, 2nd LAURENT DAGHER, 3RD RAYMOND SAADE- were driving JEEP cars and achieved outstanding results with slight differences between each.
Mr. Robert Zogbi, General Manager of InterContinental Mzaar was honored to award the 2nd winner; he said:
"Challenging sports events aiming to encourage people to visit our region will be organized all year long to uphold the destination and to promote Lebanon Mountain Tourism."
He added: "InterContinental Mzaar was very pleased to host the 4th 4X4 Criterium du Liban, hoping to organize soon a similar event with a depart from the resort".
