Abu Dhabi, UAE, May 25, 2011: InterContinental Abu Dhabi announced today its participation in the promotional campaign for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, which kicks off this week and continues in next month within the GCC countries, South Korea and the United States of America.
Mr. Simon Stamper General Manager of InterContinental Abu Dhabi, praised the plan by Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority of overseas promotions, calling it an important step on the way to stimulate tourism in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
Our best offers will be mentioned during the Gulf tour, which is organized by Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority this week, as well as the best promotion for summer holidays to attract more tourists from GCC countries.
According to Mr. Stamper, the InterContinental Abu Dhabi, offers presentations to attract families from the Arab and the Gulf countries, especially during the summer season, added by the best services and the most reasonable prices, then he pointed out that these promotions are created to allow guests from the UAE and the GCC countries to enjoy their vacation, be comfortable and have a distinctive summer 2011.
He expected to see bookings to double this summer, because of the agreements reached in with a number of the leading tourism & travel agencies in the Gulf, Arab and European region, and many others.
He praised the close cooperation between National Corporation for Tourism and Hotels, Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority and Etihad Airways, whom have worked together to plan and promote tourism in the emirate of Abu Dhabi at regional and global levels.
On the other hand, regarding the promotions offered by InterContinental Abu Dhabi for families within Abu Dhabi, the UAE and the GCC countries during the summer, Dania Malki, PR & Communications Director at InterContinental Abu Dhabi, said, that these offers enable families to get more this summer with discounts up-to 25% off room rates.
She added, the hotel management decided to give families the opportunity to spend their summer vacation, especially with the InterContinental Abu Dhabi special rates for double rooms starting from Dh500 per night and Dh900 for suite per night, while children under the age of 12 stay for free.
She explained that this promotion is valid until September 10th, 2011, and is limited only to citizens and residents in the UAE and the GCC countries.
She noted that the aim of this promotions was to contribute to promote tourism to the emirate of Abu Dhabi and attract more visitors from the UAE and the GCC countries and introduce them to cultural trends and the touristic destinations in Abu Dhabi, the most prominent The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Yas island, the motor racing circuit, and Ferrari World Entertainment City the largest of its kind in the Middle East in addition to the beautiful beach of the InterContinental Hotel in Abu Dhabi and its escorts.
Dania Malki predicted that the summer is witnessing a large turnout of visitors from within the United Arab Emirates and the Gulf states because Abu Dhabi offers tourism products with the best and most ideal prices for families.
