Innovation Park Muscat, Oman's newest science & technology development, is all set to participate in the IASP Conference 2015 as the Bronze Sponsor. International Association of Science Park and Areas of Innovation (IASP) is the worldwide network of science parks and areas of innovation.
The organization connects professionals managing science, technology and research parks (STPs) and other areas of innovation and provides services that drive growth and effectiveness for members. IASP is a nongovernmental organization in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations and is a founding member of the World Alliance for Innovation - WAINOVA. The 32nd Edition of the Conference will be hosted in Beijing from 22-25 September, 2015.
The participation is a strategic move by IPM to be recognized on the global level as an upcoming player amongst leading science and technology parks. An exhibition stall will be created at the venue by IPM to better highlight its offerings and investment opportunities. The stall will be open not only to the members of IASP but also to institutions in the research and science sectors. IPM sponsored the 31st IASP World Conference held in Doha in 2014.
Dr. Abdulbaqi Al Khabouri, Director of Science and Technology Parks said "In view of the fact that IPM has local, regional, as well as global aspirations, it becomes imperative for us to be visible at all the right places. The IASP Conference 2015 in China is one such calendar event that holds great potential for us. Our current efforts to attract more foreign investment in the field of science and technology in Oman, are steadily showing better results because more and more companies from different parts of the world have expressed their interest in IPM. Therefore at this year's conference we hope to further expand our visibility and standing as the region's future hub for innovation."
