Sharing experience and bringing Innovative e-Government Services to the people in Qatar

Infocomm Singapore companies NCS and Ecquaria Technologies Limited are behind the first landmark Government-to-Business (G2B) e-Government agreement of its kind in the Middle East.

Commissioned by ictQATAR, the Supreme Council of Information and Communication Technology of the State of Qatar, the new portal marks a milestone in the Qatar Government's commitment to delivering world class government services to the people who visit, live, and work in Qatar.

The new portal, Hukoomi, signifies a more open and transparent government that listens and responds to the needs of individuals and businesses.  It is designed to reflect Qatar's unique culture, traditions and history, and delivers the promise of bringing the government closer to the people it serves.

Currently, the portal links and hosts 48 government entities, providing the necessary information and online services. Business users are now empowered with a seamless and convenient means to transact online and make e-payments without having the need to visit numerous government entities, saving citizens and businesses time and effort.  Hukoomi and the Qatar Services Platform is designed and built with the users in mind, providing a one-stop experience for citizens, residents, visitors and businesses, giving them easy and convenient access to government information and services at any time of the day.

To ensure the successful implementation of the new portal, Infocomm Singapore companies NCS & Ecquaria Technologies Limited worked closely with ictQATAR on key areas - the portal content, infrastructure & commercial registration e-Services.

Mr Lum Hon Fye, Chief of Global Business, NCS Group said, "We are pleased and excited to be part of the ictQATAR e-Government initiative. This project is of great significance to NCS, ictQATAR and the people who live and work in Qatar. This major project for the e-Government space is further testimony of NCS' commitment to the Middle East region"

Infocomm Development Authority Center Director Shaik Umar said "We are very proud of the great strides Infocomm Singapore companies are making in the region.  With more than 25 years of proven experience, Infocomm Singapore companies are best placed to constantly deliver innovative products and services whilst maintaining a high level of ICT excellence."

The rollout success is a result of the strong collaboration between Singapore and Qatar to share expertise and experience. We are excited to be a part of this journey since day one with the Qatar government and are looking forward to extend our domain expertise to other areas of the government."
