Sign & Graphic Imaging Middle East 2005 sets the tone for the Industry that has displayed spectacular growth and performance over the years. This year's trade show demonstrates impressive numbers with a record turn out of 200 companies from over 27 countries.

Industry professionals will gravitate to Sign & Graphic Imaging Middle East 2005 to learn of the latest technological breakthroughs, to keep abreast of technical developments, the latest offerings from the industry, exchange information, seek tie-ups, representation and collaboration, source equipment and expertise and vie for the rich pickings the business has to offer or simply network. This buoyant industry envisages a minimum growth rate of 22% per cent per annum in the Middle East.

According to Abdul Rahman Falaknaz, President of International Expo Consults (IEC), the Show Organizers, the impending retail boom in the Middle East is fuelling a frenzy for the industry growth in the region. The entry of new brands from every facet of industry from around the world is accelerating the insatiable demand for more and more outdoor advertising opportunities in the region which already leads on a 'retail space per capita' basis. Reinforcing the confidence and optimism exhibited by the industry, Falaknaz said that the industry was clearly on a roll. "Sign & Graphic Imaging Middle East 2005 is the index for the industry in the region and this year we have attracted additional international participation," enthused Falaknaz, also the CEO of the Dubai-based, diversified Falaknaz Group of Companies. "The Exhibition will provide the platform for integrating the trade, providing cohesion for all constituents of the Industry as they meet under one roof to chalk out strategy, examine available technologies and explore new business opportunities," added Falaknaz.

Falaknaz also stressed that the objective of the Exhibition this year is to encourage B2B dealings for exhibitors and visitors. "The Exhibition is the perfect venue for exhibitors, representatives, buyers and media to checkout the latest technology as well as meet, inspect, buy exchange and sign up lucrative deals," remarked Falaknaz.

The highlight of this year's Expo will be on POP / POS Advertising, Films, Outdoor Media and Photo Imaging. The Expo will also address industry concerns such as clutter and bureaucracy and initiate measures to regulate and streamline the trade.

Record visitor turnout also adds value to the three day Exhibition (1 to 3 February 2005) and this year the organizers expect to easily surpass the 12,000 bench mark last year. They are expected to come from over 50 countries and there has been sustained interest from several GCC and Middle East countries that are part of national pavilions. The Advertising Section of Dubai Municipality has endorsed the event and Engineer Mohammed Al Noori, the Head of the Department has been very supportive and rallied the Advertising Section's behind the Exhibition. "Dubai Municipality is well on track to being a major player in the industry in the region and despite the proliferation of new advertising sites and enhanced pressure for more space, the Department ensures professionalism at every stage of its activity," assured Al Noori who also revealed that an on-line system of registration and approval had already been initiated and being developed to lessen clerical work and facilitate rapid processing of applications.
