As part of the monthly 'Reyooq with CEO' initiative, incubated companies at the National Business Centre (NBC), which pertains to the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (PEIE), visited recently Oman Tourism Development Company (Omran) to get acquainted with the available investment opportunities and its various initiatives.
Speaking at the event, Malak Al Shaibani, Director General of NBC, emphasised that through the establishment of the National Business Centre, more business and investment ideas will see lights and be presented to the community which will play a role in boosting businesses and initiatives up to the desired economic growth. She added that the objectives of NBC comprise facilitating and supporting the growth of investable ideas into successful businesses; building entrepreneurial skills through dedicated and focused training, coaching and mentoring; and providing business support facilities from office space, administrative support, financial support and consultancy services that are crucial in ensuring the success and survival of new ventures.
Officials at Omran explained the role played by Omran in driving investment, growth and development of the thriving tourism sector in the Sultanate. Omran is a developer of major tourism, heritage and urban developments, delivering some of nation's most iconic projects. Established by government mandate in 2005 in line with the vision to strengthen and diversify the economy, Omran aims at creating new destinations and unique experiences that benefit the social and economic growth of the Sultanate.
'Reyooq with CEO' initiative consists of visits to high profile Omani companies and factories in cooperation with Riyada to meet with the CEOs and decision-makers of these companies. The incubated companies at NBC shall get acquainted with various opportunities available for entrepreneurs. NBC is an initiative launched by PEIE at the Knowledge Oasis Muscat (KOM) to offer promising Omani entrepreneurs a platform to develop their business ideas and advance them into growing ventures. The centre offers a premier platform for Omani entrepreneurs by providing business development support and guidance, training and mentoring, access to markets and industry experts, and state-of-the-art and fully equipped office space, meeting rooms and presentation facilities.
