Beirut: In order to meet its subscribers' needs and to provide them with best services, Alfa, the mobile operator managed by Orascom Telecom since February 2009, announces the implementation of a new frequency plan on its network during the night of 19-20 of February 2010, in collaboration with Nokia Siemens Networks, to get the utmost efficiency from the allocated spectrum and to improve the network performance.
Implementation will be on all sites covering the below area as per the below schedule:
- Metn area from 11:00PM to 00:30AM
- South of Metn and South of Beirut including: Airport, Fiyyadiyeh, Baabda, Beit Mereh, Mansouriyeh, Hazmieh, Dahyeh area, and Bir Hassan from: 00:30AM to 2:00AM
- Beirut area including: Down Town, Achrafiyeh, Hamra, Kraytem, Raoucheh, Ain el Tineh, Tareek l Jdideh, Ouzai, Cola, Badaro, Furn El Chebbak, and Mazraa from 2:00AM to 3:30AM
It should be noted that during the implementation of the new plan, some perturbations might be experienced by Alfa's subscribers.
