State-of-the-art PyroLance makes waves in Qatar
Doha, Qatar - 10th August 2008 - International Gulf Trading Company (IGTC)-Chubb Fire Qatar, the global leader in fire protection, safety and security solutions, has once again demonstrated why it is the number one choice for civil defense solutions in the country. Continuing its tradition of innovation, the company has recently introduced an ultra high-pressure stand-off fire attack system that is going to revolutionize firefighting in the country and make it safer than ever for firefighters as well as those caught in a fire.
PyroLance is an ultra high-pressure cooling and firefighting system that allows the operator to attack a fire from a safe exterior position without the need for firefighters to enter the structure. PyroLance's unique high-pressure jet of water and specialty aggregate is capable of piercing the outer structure in strategic locations to deal with fires effectively. Once the outer structure is penetrated, PyroLance then introduces an ultra high pressure mist into the thermal layer, which cools the interior, dropping the temperature from 815 degrees Celsius to only 93 degrees.
"Given the system's ability to pierce through steel and concrete and the effectiveness of its high pressure mist, the system is particularly useful and effective in closed structures such as ships, buildings, basements and other areas where firefighting and rescue activities are usually difficult and dangerous," explained Mr Rami Al-Batrawi, General Manager, IGTC-Chubb Fire Qatar.
The company has already conducted two corporate presentations on the new PyroLance system for the benefit of Qatar Petroleum and Civil Defense Authority respectively. "We are confident that these institutions will see real value in this revolutionary new firefighting solution, and we are expecting a spate of orders from these and other companies in the near future," said Mr Al Batrawi.
