Doha, Qatar - April 4, 2009 - International Gulf Trading Company (IGTC) - Chubb Fire Qatar, a leader in fire safety equipment, supplies and security solutions, will be upgrading and refurbishing Maersk Oil's fire safety systems. IGTC - Chubb Fire is sending a team of maintenance experts to ensure and recertify the operating capacities of the fire extinguishers on Maersk Oil's offshore development.
These strategic upgrades will take place in the Al Shaheen Field, located in the 5th sector off Qatar's northern coast. The IGTC - Chubb Fire team will be conducting bi-annual inspections, and using their extensive expertise to ensure that the fire safety equipment meets their stringent standards. IGTC - Chubb Fire will be sending senior technicians who have extensive off-shore experience, and a diverse knowledge of firefighting equipment inspection.
The inspections and most of the servicing will be done offshore, further accentuating IGTC - Chubb Fire's knowledge of safety standards and experience in developing safety solutions in some of the most challenging environments. Some components will require servicing onshore, and during these periods IGTC - Chubb Fire will be providing replacement fire extinguishers to ensure that there is no lapse in their safety systems.
Employing their industry related training and specialized safety knowledge, the technicians will be serving multi-purposed fire fighting solutions including dry powder, CO2, wet and dry chemical extinguishers. All certification, inspection and service processes will be done according to the NFPA and Solas standards, and with the attention to detail that has made IGTC - Chubb Fire an iconic name in the local community, and within the security and safety industries.
