'His & Hers' limited-edition versions to be given away to one lucky DSF Shopper

Dubai, UAE, February 24, 2007: Deira City Centre has made the ongoing Dubai Shopping Festival special for its shoppers by offering a pair of spectacular limited-edition 'His & Hers' race replica Corvettes to one lucky shopper.

The specialist Chevrolets up for grabs are two of just 399 available across the world. The majority from this limited production run are for the US market, so the lucky winner will be assured of near exclusivity of ownership for the special versions of the iconic roadster.

The two Corvettes commemorate the living legend of Ron Fellows, a racetrack driver closely associated with the name Chevrolet and Corvette, having been a part of all six consecutive American Le Man Series GT1 manufacturers' championships for the company.

Shoppers wishing to take part in the draw to win both of these magnificent performance sports cars simply have to spend Dhs 300 at participating outlets in Deira City Centre. Single or combined value purchases can be made and the receipts exchanged for a voucher to enter into the raffle. The grand draw takes place on 25th February at 10.30 am.

The two Corvettes, currently being displayed in the Jewellery Court on Level 1 of Deira City Centre, are inviting unprecedented interest from mall visitors. Finished in stunning Arctic White, the cars feature double Monterey Red Metallic stripes with Machine Silver borders on their front wings. Contained within these is Fellows' signature in a contrasting Victory Red shade, along with the callouts of the championship years when he was personally behind the wheel.

Among the other exterior features that set these roadsters apart from the crowd are full-width racing spoilers and unique windshield banners, emblazoned with the legend 'Corvette'. The red and white colour scheme and graphics are a nod to Fellows' Canadian heritage and there is even a maple leaf - the Canadian national symbol - incorporated into the design. The five-spoke chrome wheels complete the coupes stunning appearance.

The stand-out colour theme continues inside the cabins; with red seats, centre consoles and instrument panels. There are also red, leather-covered armrests, with a Corvette 'cross flags' logo, which have been hand-signed and numbered by Ron Fellows himself. The interiors are finished in a Tech pattern trim, accentuating the sports pedigree of this special incarnation of a classic sports car that has been in production for 55 years.
