Events to feature live demos of HP workstations and CAD printing solutions

BEIRUT, Lebanon, February 22, 2006 - HP Middle East  and partners; PC Dealnet, ICC and Epace Buro are holding a series of open door sessions to introduce new HP workstations and Computer Aided Design (CAD) printing solutions, customised to optimise engineering, architecture and Geographic Information System (GIS) applications. The events will take place in Beirut in February and March and will feature live demonstrations of HP's products.

"From the entry level to high-end, the latest generation of HP workstations and printers offers the superior performance and expandability demanded by the engineering and design industries today," said Hanan Kamal, Marketing Manger, Personal Systems Group and SMB, HP Middle East.

"The aim of this series of workshops and demonstrations is to give technical professionals first hand experience of the technology behind these cutting edge products.  As well as enhanced processing, memory , graphics and bus technologies, the new HP Intel and Windows workstations have been certified and optimized for the key applications used within engineering, graphics and photography fields. Additionally, HP's newest colour printing solutions offer tangible reductions on cost and time for these industries. "

The first event, targeting engineers and architects, takes place in Beirut on 23rd February at the Order of Engineers. Key products for the industry will be showcased at the event including the  HP Designjet 4000ps. Additionally a testimonial will be presented on the low-cost, high performing HP xw4200 peformance for Computer Aided Design/Drafting (CADD).

More live demonstrations will take place on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th February at the same venue.

The second round of workshops targeted at graphic designers and digital media and photography professionals; takes place at Alba University and will run from 8th to 10th March 2006. The workshops will focus on HP's range of Large Format Printers (LFPs) which offer high speed printing with rich, high quality colour images.  Visitors to the event will discover how to lower operational costs and increase efficiency with remote management of their LFPs.  Products featured in the event will include the HP Designjet 500ps.

Additionally, HP will showcase the HP Photosmart 8753 and HP Designjet 90 printers specifically designed for professional photographers, which deliver outstanding contrast and balance.

A number of demonstrations by HP customers and partners will take place during the event, including the xw8200 workstation based on Intel dual xeon technologies.  The HP xw8200 Workstation combines impressive scalability and power, new graphics technology, large computational and visualization capacity and HP's renowned reliability to meet industry needs.

SamoPress Advertising will also hold a demonstration, highlighting the capabilities of the HP Professional 23 inch LCD using both Windows and Mac applications.
