DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, April 27th, 2008 - HP Middle East today announced the availability of its Pavilion dv2800 Artist Edition Notebook PC, designed and inspired by tech-savvy youth. Featuring the winning submission from HP and MTV Networks' "Take Action. Make Art" competition, the new notebook PC captures Portuguese artist Joao Oliveira's "Asian Odyssey" theme.

Its stunning play on today's pop culture - combining slightly retro elements with modern technology - makes this unique notebook PC the ideal accompaniment for stylish youth looking to stand out from the crowd. The winning design has been transferred to everything: from the notebook's casing and palm rest to the screen wallpaper to the packaging and a matching messenger bag which comes with every notebook.

The global contest, which invited budding young designers aged 16 to 24 to express their interests and communicate their concerns through art, generated close to 9,000 entries from over 112 countries in a mere six weeks. The new notebook also qualified for ENERGY STAR® compliance and comes wrapped in environmentally-friendly packaging to reflect young PC users' support for green initiatives.

"We're proud to work with young artists to help them express their vision of technology," said Elena Danici, Category Manager Consumer Products, PSG, HP Middle East. "The Artist Edition Notebook connects with today's youth and demonstrates their driving force behind our PC innovation."

Together with its stylish design, the 14-inch HP Pavilion dv2800 Artist Edition Notebook PC comes fully featured for a compelling entertainment experience. Intel® CoreÔ 2 Duo processor and high-end NVIDIA® GeForce® 8400M GS graphics provide all the power you need for gaming and other high-end applications, while built-in Bluetooth® keeps you wirelessly connected to all of your peripherals for a clutter-free, multimedia experience.

"Visual computing has become an indispensable element of personal expression, communication and entertainment," said Bernhard Gleissner, NVIDIA Vice President of Sales EMEA and India. "The Artist Edition Notebook from HP showcases great design and, thanks to its NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS graphics, it's also fully equipped to help users unleash their own creative talent."

Integrated Quickplay with Internet TV makes all of your favourite DVDs and TV channels only a click away, while the HP WebCam and YouCam application allows you to make yourselves seen as well as heard across the web.  An HDMI port permits you to connect directly to a full HD screen, increasing your visual experience.

The HP Pavilion dv2800 Artist Edition Notebook PC is a limited series release. It will be available in Middle-East from 1085 USD.
