Kuwait City, Kuwait - HP has recently been awarded a contract by The Public Authority for Civil Information in Kuwait (PACI) to supply the Authority with 21 HP Colour Laserjet Printers 4650n. The deal is part of PACI's efforts at developing its IT environment in keeping with the series of technical developments recently undertaken by the Authority which includes the initiation of a technical design for the PACI Express Card System, aimed at providing enhanced service.

Commenting on why HP was selected to undertake this contract, Salem Al Ali, Director Assistant of Finance Department at PACI said: "At HP we are always assured of the most cutting edge printing devices that provide top-ranking print quality, yield and cost per page. Our primary objective was to enhance and speed up the production line of Civil IDs with a very high resolution, lower operational costs and to increase efficiency. HP understood our needs through a suite of tailor-made solutions marked by simplicity, manageability and stability. All these solutions helped us to produce 6000 IDs per day.
"We believe that most of our users will be able to complete their work faster and better using HP Colour Laserjet 4650n to print Civil ID, which will enhance the quality of the production line. In addition, our technical team using HP Web Jetadmin will greatly benefit in managing fleets of network events," he added.
The Laserjet 4650n provides proven and reliable colour performance for a workgroup in a simple yet efficient design. Complete with networking, it prints in optimal colour and black printing at a brisk pace of up to 22 pages per minute, thus enhancing productivity drastically.
It also provides the option of setting up a network with high-speed printing via the HP Jetdirect 620n Fast Ethernet print server and easily processes complex documents containing text, images and graphics with the high powered 533 MHz processor and 160MB memory. The 4650n also monitors supplies replacements and printer status via a convenient display as well provides alerts when a cartridge is low through HP SureSupply.
