New online booking tool aims to increase domestic and international car rentals as Hertz Bahrain sees 50 per cent revenue boost in 2012
Manama, Bahrain, 3 March 2013: Hertz has extended its award winning website to Bahrain, making car rental bookings easier for customers, while also building on a successful 2012, where revenue for domestic and international rentals from the Kingdom grew by 50 per cent.
Launched today, the website www.hertz.com.bh gives car rental customers in Bahrain access to a global network that covers more than 8,800 locations in 150 countries, and will enhance Hertz outbound car rentals from the country to popular destinations in Europe and the USA.
Mr T.P. Azeez, General Manager of Hertz Bahrain, commented: "We are currently seeing increased car rental growth from Bahrain in long haul destinations such as Los Angeles, Orlando and San Francisco in the USA, as well as London and Paris in Europe, while closer to home in Dubai, car rentals from Bahrain grew by 58 per cent in 2012."
"Our new Hertz Bahrain website has been structured to meet the demand of a market that is always on the move and looking for booking options that are a cut above the rest. In addition to growing domestic car rentals, it will also boost our outbound rentals from Bahrain, which accounted for 46 per cent of total revenue in 2012."
Fully backed by leading security firm VeriSign, and optimised for PC, tablet and smart phone access in addition to being integrated into social media networks, www.hertz.com.bh is the latest booking channel addition to Hertz Bahrain, which recently launched a dedicated Arabic and English speaking Hertz Customer Call Centre number, 6500 9560.
Voted the 2012/13 Best Car rental Website by the popular consumer voting platform Zagat, the brand new website follows the announcement by Bahrain's national carrier, Gulf Air of more flights between Bahrain and GCC, MENA and Asian destinations.
As part of a leading partnership between the two brands, Gulf Air and Hertz are offering Gulf Air Falconflyer members 500 miles on all car rentals in Bahrain or at one of 150 destinations in which Hertz operates.
Bahrain currently has an online penetration rate of 57 per cent, growing every year as customers look for convenient ways to research and book their travel needs, which according to Azeez, is becoming increasingly discerning.
Added Azeez: "The American and European markets are witnessing a surge in demand for luxury vehicles from Bahraini travellers, and this factor has contributed significantly to our revenue growth in 2012.
"Our Hertz Prestige Collection guarantees the make and model the customer requests upon arrival at their chosen destination, an option that has become particularly popular among Bahraini customers."
Customers in Bahrain will have the choice to prepay for their choice of vehicle in Bahraini dinars or in the destination currency when booking through www.hertz.com.bh.
