Dubai UAE: The organising committee of the “Heritage Surprises” organized by the Dubai Customs in the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) during the Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS 2004) from July 22 to 28 announces the registration for the best UAE heritage website contest that includes heritage materials related to UAE real facts.
These materials may to be poems, historical documents, literary creativity, scientific innovation, cultural writing, plastic arts, photos for heritage or traditional locations or architecture building or other traditional and heritage materials.
This was announced by Omar bin Hindi, Assistant Heritage Surprises Coordinator and Head of this contest committee that comprise Rashad Bukhash from Dubai Municipality, Marwan Al Naqi from Dubai E-Government, Maryam Al Afradi from Dubai Trourism and Commercial Marketing and Sultan Al Zarouni from the Information Technology Systems in PCFC.
The contest committee held its first meeting and set up all conditions and point views for the competition that sponsored by Tejari.com- the biggest Electronic trade pan Middle East- and aims to spread the heritage awareness among all the UAE people and residents in entertainment environment with noble competition.
Bin Hindi stressed that this website should be an individual effort or group of people over the UAE level and for group of ages and should include materials related directly to the UAE local heritage, while it these materials will be controlled by allocated committee for this purpose and those whom found using illegal and copyright stolen contents will be disqualified.
He noted that the committee would call and invite colleges and universities to attract students in the country for this contest that allocated cash and valuable prizes for the five top ranks.
