Doha, Qatar – HEC Paris, one of the world’s leading providers of Executive Education, is hosting a public Masterclass in Doha designed to develop the financial strategic skills of the participants.

The Masterclass, titled ‘Understanding Accounts and Financial Strategy in 60 Minutes’, will be held on October 14, from 5.00 -7.00pm, at the HEC Paris campus in Tornado Tower, Doha. Led by HEC Paris Affiliate Professor Patrick Legland, the Masterclass will demonstrate how to establish reliable indicators for Corporate Executives, Asset Managers and Bankers.

With more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, Professor Legland will guide attendees through the metrics of a financial strategy, including what the return is for shareholders. The masterclass will analyze how strategy can affect a company’s profitability, both positively and negatively, and whether assets are being used properly and investments made are profitable. Attendees will learn to assess the financial structure and manage the debt.

Professor Legland stated: “Understanding how a company accounts for its activities is essential to make more strategic decisions, especially in today’s evolving and challenging business landscape. Through this masterclass, we will give participants an in-depth learning of the best practices and financial indicators to develop their understanding of whether a financial strategy is successful or not”.

The masterclass will provide prospective participants with insight into what they will learn from enrolling in one of HEC Paris’ executive degree programs: The Executive MBA program, the only EMBA of its kind available in Qatar, and which focuses on strategy and leadership and how the current global business environment may have an impact on their decisions. The Specialized Master’s Degree in Business Unit Management, designed for professionals and entrepreneurs looking at enhancing their leadership and management skills. The next intake for the Executive MBA is February 2019 and for the Specialized Master, January 2019.
