The renowned  british toy shop, Hamleys, has opened its doors for the first time in Cairo on Thursday January 22nd in Cairo Festival City Mall in the presence of British Ambassdor, John Casson, members of the media and guests. The toy shop which is comprised of 700 squares metres is detailed with playful iconic fixtures and displays over 3000 different type of toys and games,  setting the tone for a magical experience for everyone who walks through the doors. 

Living up to it's promise of being the finest toy shop in the world, the event commenced with a marching band parading in the mall led by Hamleys bear, delighted children and staff members pulling in a trail of excited customers who had been excitedly awaiting for the store to open. Among a range of fun games and activities, the grand opening's highlight was a raffle on the day that treated 3 winners who were selected as Hamleys VIP customers for the coming year, offering them exclusive perks.

Commenting on this occasion, Hamleys CEO, Imad bukhari said, " This is Hamleys first store in the African continent and we are truly proud to be part of this milestone. With a global promise to make children smile in every nook and corner, we are excited to be delivering this promise to Egyptians, a high-spirited nation who are renowned for loving life to its fullest. John Casson, the British Ambassador to Egypt said: "When I was a boy it was always a dream to go to Hamleys, the most famous toy shop in the world.
