The world's leading architectural and landscape architectural firms, planners, contractors and developers are invited to share their visions and expertise at Gulf Landscaping 2010, to be hosted at ADNEC, Abu Dhabi on 29 - 31 March 2010. Gulf Landscaping is the region's only event dedicated to the architectural and landscaping demands of the Middle East and the capital of the UAE, Abu Dhabi.

With high profile multi-billion dollar developments in Abu Dhabi currently including Reem Island, Al Raha Beach and Building Materials City, Gulf Landscaping will engage the sector in the region at all levels.  Private companies, government and non government organisations will share best practice and present a practical view for the future of Abu Dhabi and the wider Middle East's burgeoning landscape architecture industry.

Co-located with the region's premier interior design event Interiors UAE 2010, the Gulf Landscaping exhibition showcases innovative products, services and solutions for the brand new and ongoing developments taking place across the Middle East in the commercial, retail, leisure and residential sectors, as well as city parks and highways. Participants include Emirates Green Building Council members comprising ABB Industries, Arup Gulf Limited, Al Habtoor Engineering, ETA Star Property Developers LLC and The Grand Hyatt Dubai as well as other suppliers such as Clabermeteo, Arquitectonicastudio, Arid Land Development, Buzon, GEBAL and Schererjardin.

Cathy Oates, Event Director for Gulf Landscaping 2010 commented:

"Abu Dhabi is a rich fusion of both culture and heritage, combined with contemporary design excellence. At the heart of the region's development is Plan Abu Dhabi 2030, which is driving an increased demand for high standard green and outdoor spaces within the UAE. Gulf Landscaping 2010 aims to provide the next step in both theory and shared best practice for those involved in this vision, helping to construct the Middle Eastern Lifestyle of the future."

The Urban Development Gallery at Gulf Landscaping 2010 will profile many regional cutting edge developments either completed, planned or underway in delivering Plan Abu Dhabi 2030 including projects by Masdar, Foster and Partners, Cracknells and ARUP.  In addition, a high-level seminar programme will include many of these leading architects as well as other examples of strategic design best practice including David R Gal of US based, SWA Group who will present on the experience of designing the urban landscape of the 11-hectare Park that surrounds Burj Khalifa, from conceptual design to construction.  There will also be more practical sessions,

including Lee Allen of Cracknells on how the UAE's landscapes will adapt and respond to the water availability in the region and a presentation by leading visionary landscape architect Sekar James.

Other themes include 'The role of Landscaping in achieving the zero carbon dream' and 'Beige is the new Green - developing sustainable landscapes, with specific reference to water consumption'.  Other workshops examine 'Irrigation Technology', 'Smart Water Systems' and 'CAD for Landscape Architecture and Irrigation Design'.

In co-locating with Interiors UAE, Gulf Landscaping will deliver both global and local platforms where design excellence will be presented; from the finest detail of interior projects to the large scale infrastructure developments shaping the face of the city. This co-location enables all those involved in the development and delivery of key projects to meet their interior and exterior product sourcing needs in one visit.  For more information, please visit www.gulflandscaping.com.
