Dubai, UAE, 26th April 2007: Grosvenor House recently hosted its annual charity dinner for the Dubai Autism Centre last night. The gala dinner aims to raise funds for children suffering from autism a condition which is characterized by impaired social interaction, problems with verbal and nonverbal communications, severely limiting their activities and interests.

The auction saw a number of very popular items on sale including Tiffany earrings that reached AED10,000. This year the event raised a grand total of AED 400,000 AED50,000 more than last year.

"We are proud to be the champions of the Dubai Autism Centre as they are one of the most respected charitable organisations in the UAE," commented Pam Wilby, general manger of Grosvenor House.

"This continued partnership is important to us and we are pleased that this year many people showed support for this worthy cause. The gala dinner has now become an exciting annual event on Dubai social calendar and we are committed to repeating it next year in an even bigger scale.
