Abu Dhabi, UAE: The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) is encouraging residents and visitors to take time for self-reflection this Ramadan with a series of sporty and restorative experiences focusing on personal health and wellness.

Running throughout the holy month, sporting facilities and entertainment attractions across Abu Dhabi are hosting special events open for participants of all ages and fitness levels to experience.

SOULFUL EXPERIENCES

Wellness Iftar at Pura Eco Resort 

Disconnect from everyday life and immerse yourself in soothing nature with Pura Eco Resort’s unique Wellness Iftar. Hosted over two weekends, with limited spaces available, this Ramadan retreat includes a series of yoga and meditation classes and delicious dining experiences designed by Emirati Chef Faisal Al Harmoodi. Hosted on 31 March and 1, 7 and 8 April, the sessions promise guests moments of reflection and connection with their inner selves, amid the stunning surroundings of Pura Eco Resort.

Serenity at Jubail Mangrove Park

Stay active and reconnect with nature at Jubail Mangrove Park, with a scenic boardwalk experience through native wildlife that will clear your mind and detox your spirit. The environmentally protected park will host water activities, yoga sessions and creative art classes. On the water, embark on a guided kayaking experience, gliding through mangroves, seeing stunning sunrises and sunsets, and discovering native wildlife – or navigate the night waters with the newly-launched Night Glow experience in specially fitted, LED-lit kayaks. To promote spiritual reflection, Jubail Mangrove Park has curated a schedule of ladies-only yoga sessions every Monday from 8:30pm to 9:30pm, including Detox Flow with Sound Healing Journey, Yin with Roll & Release, Detox Pilates to Reset and Breath & Meditation.

Hudayriyat Mar Vista

With something for all ages, tastes and interests, Hudayriyat Island is a one-stop destination with everything you need for a great day out this Ramadan. With ample indoor and outdoor attractions including cycling and biking tracks and trails, obstacle parks and pristine beaches, restaurants and food trucks, endless opportunities exist to stay fit and healthy on the island. 

Ramadan at the Circuit 

Get your adrenaline pumping at Yas Marina Circuit this holy month. Race the track with thrilling driving packages, watch the nail-biting Ramadan Karting Cup and Yas Super Street Challenge, or tread the track as part of the ADNOC TrainYAS Ramadan Challenge, presented by ADSC, and be in with a chance of winning some fantastic prizes.
