The Global Fusion event hosted by Sarasin Alpen Co LLC, a subsidiary of Bank Sarasin-Alpen (ME) Limited, Dubai together with its investment banking arm, Alpen Capital LLC on March 19, 2009 in Muscat, Oman was a huge success. The event was attended by the companies' clients and other leading personalities of the region.
Sarasin Alpen and Alpen Capital started their operations in Oman last year. Both entities are regulated by the Capital Market Authority, Sultanate of Oman. Sarasin Alpen offers private banking advisory services and is the first presence of a Swiss origin private banking advisory activity in the region. Alpen Capital specializes in investment banking advisory services.. In addition to Oman, Sarasin Alpen and Alpen Capital have a presence in Doha and Dubai.
Global Fusion: Continuing its success story

This year's 'Global Fusion' in Oman featured Trilok Gurtu - the world renowned master of Indian music as the lead artiste along with musical gurus like Shankar Mahadevan, Carlo Cantini, Burcu Sonmez, Roland Cabezas, Phil Drummy and Johann Berby.

Trilok Gurtu: A master of Indian music, tabla, percussion, and Western drums, is one of the most dynamic & prolific jazz-fusion musicians today.
Shankar Mahadevan: A visionary composer & phenomenal vocalist, who while being deeply rooted in Indian Classical Music, has been celebrated internationally for his contributions to Indo-Jazz fusion.
Burcu Somnez: A Turkish musician has integrated the "ney", a very ancient Persian flute-like instrument into western classical & contemporary European orchestras.
Carlo Cantini: An Italian violinist, a virtuoso, who has created new musical experiences, by combining his classical & traditional training on the violin, with modern, international jazz bands
Roland Cabezas: A Spanish guitarist, composer & singer, whose musical adventurousness has led him to creative fusions with jazz, rock, & classical music from all over the world
Johann Berby: A brilliant bass player from Réunion Island, who reflects the culture & musical sensibilities of his origins, India, Malgache & Mozambique
Phil Drummy: An Australian, who plays multiple instruments, saxophones, clarinet, santoor, bansoori, asian flutes & reeds, Scottish bagpipes and most importantly didgeridoo, an indigenous aboriginal wind instrument, which he very effectively fuses with contemporary jazz
