Gleeds Gulf Engineering Consultants are proud to announce that they are to participate in the Cityscape Qatar 2013 Exhibition for investment and real estate development, taking place at the Doha Exhibition Centre, from 27 to 29 May.
'This is the first time that Gleeds has exhibited at Cityscape Doha and having built up a very solid practice in the last few years we feel that we have quite a lot to offer visitors to this event. We are very excited to be involved in Cityscape as it presents a tremendous opportunity for our team here to meet and exchange ideas and opportunities with other organisations involved in Qatar's enormous programme of development' said General Manager, Paul Murphy,
'Gleeds Gulf Engineering Consultants is currently providing construction cost, contract and commercial management services on some of the largest and most complex projects in Qatar. 'We have a strong and dynamic locally-based team who are well supported by our global group and this gives us an impressive reach offering our clients in Qatar world-class services for their world-class projects'.
'The client base in Qatar is already very understanding of the benefits of engaging with quantity surveyors and cost managers to assist in meeting project objectives and the staff deployed by Gleeds, qualified to RICS standards, holds a proven track-record of performance and delivery',
'Effective and proactive cost management is crucial to the success of any project and it is important that this begins as early as possible in the formation of the project - ideally at the conception stage and the establishment of the Project Brief. It is at this stage that the majority of major cost decisions are made that will influence all the work that follows through design and construction. It is vital at the outset that the client's expectations for the project are aligned with his expectations of budget and cost. With a brief and budget established, a strategy of 'design to cost' can then be established to minimise any delay or waste in revisiting design to reduce cost at later stages'.
Gleeds Gulf Engineering Consultants are accredited as Grade 'A' Quantity Surveyors in Qatar and are currently engaged as cost managers for Phases 2 and 3 of the Msheireb Downtown Doha Project, in addition to several other high profile projects located in Doha, Mesaieed and Ras Laffan.
Regionally, Gleeds operates from offices in Cairo, Alexandria, Abu Dhabi and Dubai and is in the process of rapid growth and expansion across MENA and GCC. This expansion is in part due to the long term and strong relationships that Gleeds has forged with regional clients.
Bruce Haswell, Gleeds Regional Director said, 'we are honoured to be contributing to the State of Qatar's impressive and challenging real estate plans with our delivery of high quality and independent cost and contract management services. Our continued investment in staff, training and technology aims to ensure that we remain at the forefront of our profession. We are constantly improving the level of our service to our clients by reflecting on our past performance to refine and enhance our response to clients' requirements. The industry is always evolving and our ethos of blending our strong local market knowledge with the very best international standards of professional practice is a winning formula that assures clients of our constant reliability.'
Haswell added, 'Gleeds Gulf Engineering Consultants is an example of that winning formula: the investment we have made in our staff and service has been translated into trust and respect from our clients and colleague consultants allowing us to rapidly grow our office in Doha, doubling our business in this last year alone. We have set some ambitious targets and support systems for the coming years to ensure that our quality and reliability are maintained. I am proud of our team's achievements and consistency and I have a great deal of faith in them to uphold the very best industry standards as well as Gleeds' own very high standard of practice, quality of delivery and reliability of advice. The State of Qatar is embarking on its ambitious plan of real estate and infrastructure development and Cityscape is a reflection of that plan. We are rightly proud to participate in this event and demonstrate our ability to contribute to the successful development of Qatar.'
