Dubai, UAE, December 12, 2010: The Dubai-based German boutique developer Bavaria Gulf today announced that interior works on Sandoval Apartments were progressing well. Sandoval Apartments comprises the second phase of Bavaria Gulf's flagship project, Sandoval Gardens, at Jumeirah Village, an AED 260 million twin development that also includes 36 townhouses. Aimed at the discerning and quality-conscious residential mid-segment, the AED 165 million apartment component consists of 165 units, each individually certified by German quality evaluator TUeV.
The interior works are well underway with plastering, ceramics, ducting, piping, wiring and painting now in progress at the two 2B+G+4 buildings, with a build up area of 200,000 sq ft. The interior woks are being executed by Al Sayegh Contracting LLC and are expected to be completed by January 2011. Earlier, the structural works were completed by the main contractor and the structure handed over to the developer in October.
Commenting on the progress Mr. Raymond Lefevre, Director of Bavaria Gulf, said: "We are progressing well with the interior works including the MEP. Since we are building the project as per TUeV specifications, every stage of the project demands minute attention to details to achieve the desired quality. Along with our focus on high quality, special attention is being paid to the finishing of the development, as we have envisaged a sophisticated 5-star look and feel for the apartments. The Sandoval Apartments will be ready for handover in the first quarter of 2011."
Mr Raymond also expressed satisfaction with the construction quality achieved by Al Sayegh Contracting LLC. "We have been closely working with Al Sayegh and they have been highly conscious of our focus on quality as benchmarked by the TUeV specifications. We have applied the German rules of construction and Al Sayegh has been accommodative of the extra-demands that put in terms of the quality of the material used, attention to detail and up-scaling of labour skills to achieve specified precision," he added.
Each individual unit in the Sandoval Apartments project comes with an assurance of excellent quality, after having been progressively inspected by TUV SUD experts, right from the project design stage and through various construction milestones. TUeV are amongst the most stringent quality assurance evaluators in Germany, globally known for their in-depth detailing, rigorous inspection and evaluation parameters. Launched in 2007, Sandoval Gardens became the first German TUeV Quality certified residential project in Dubai and the Middle East.

The Sandoval Apartments project offers 58 studio apartments, 80 one bedroom apartments, 17 two bedroom apartments and 10 special duplex apartments. Additionally, the apartments range from 680 square feet - 2700 square feet to offer ample space solutions to the customers.
Designed by the German firm Planquadrat, the Sandoval Gardens project blends contemporary architectural style with an innovative open courtyard concept summing up the popular European concept of 'community living in privacy'. Additionally, in terms of finishing and amenities, the Sandoval Apartments have been envisaged to be at par with a 5-star property.
Registered with USGBC and boasting various environment-friendly and energy-saving features like water-economizing faucets, sensor operated lights, motion detectors, thermal insulation technology and an anti air leakage design, Sandoval Apartments qualify for the silver rating in LEED certification.
