Dubai, UAE - Fujitsu-Siemens Computers, the leading European I.T. manufacturer, has appointed Channeltech Distribution FZCO as its authorised Distributor for GCC & Middle East. Channeltech Distribution FZCO, which assembles and distributes the famous South African Sahara brand computers, is part of Sahara Computers (Pty) Ltd, Africa's biggest computer distributor.
Channeltech Distribution FZCO is now responsible for logistics, stock availability, credit arrangements, channel marketing and relationship management with Fujitsu Siemens' resellers.
"This move is part of our continuing efforts to streamline and develop our channel distribution networks to ensure customers have a wide choice of respected and certified distribution partners who will deliver the right solutions to our end-user customers," said Farid Sabbagh, SME and Channel Manager, Middle East, Fujitsu Siemens Computers. Sahara Computers' move into the Gulf is part of its global expansion strategy. Primed to become a true distribution powerhouse, the US $365 million a year company, which distributes Fujitsu Siemens Computers' products in Southern Africa, boasts an extensive product portfolio throughout Africa, and sees the lucrative Middle East market as the next natural progression.
