Gisela Ciancio returns to Qatar, where she began her career with Four Seasons in 2004

Doha, Qatar, 6 February 2014: Four Seasons Hotel Doha announces the appointment of Gisela Ciancio to the post of Director of Human Resources. In addition to overseeing the Hotel's HR functions, she will also serve as a member of the Hotel's Planning Committee.

The promotion sees Gisela move to Qatar from Four Seasons Hotel New York where she spent the last two years working as Senior Learning & Development Manager as well as Innovation Champion.

A part of the Four Seasons family for a decade, interestingly Gisela's new role in Doha sees her return to where her journey with Four Seasons began. Gisela joined the company in 2004 as a Learning & Development Manager on the pre-opening team for Four Seasons Hotel Doha.

She later moved on to Asia as the Assistant Director of HR at Four Seasons Hotel Macau, Cotai Strip, followed by two stints in Europe - as the Interim Director of HR at Four Seasons Hotel Dublin and as Acting Director of HR during the re-opening of the landmark Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane.

Gisela holds a BA in Tourism, a Diploma in Hotel Management and a Post-Graduate degree in Strategic HR Management. Prior to joining Four Seasons, she spent eight years with Intercontinental & Starwood Hotels working in HR, Recruitment & Training both in Argentina and Mexico.

"Having Gisela assume the post of Director of HR is a proud moment for the team here in Qatar as she started her career with Four Seasons at this very property. Since her first stint here almost 10 years ago, Gisela has built a very solid grounding in delivering the best employee experiences across cultures, and has amassed wide international expertise in leading recruitment, talent administration and learning and development within the luxury hospitality market. Beyond her enviable international exposure, she has amazing energy and is the best person to help prepare the team for the 2022 World Cup in Doha. Of course, she is rooting for her home team to walk away the winner!" said Rami Sayess, Regional Vice President and General Manager, Four Seasons Hotel Doha.

A native of Argentina, it is no surprise that Gisela's passion is dancing, food and fun. She will replace Samar Eraky who moves to Dubai in time for the opening of Four Seasons first Hotel in the UAE later this year.
