Doha, Qatar - April 27, 2008: The Pearl-Qatar welcomed last week a high-level delegation that included the first ladies of Poland, Maria Kaczynska, and Albania, Teuta Topi.

"I feel like I am in a fairytale story, Alice in Wonderland," exclaimed Mrs. Kaczynska on seeing The Pearl-Qatar. "If I did not come here and see it for myself I would not have believed it."

After receiving a tour of the Island and a presentation on the many luxurious features that The Pearl-Qatar residents will enjoy, Mrs. Topi commented: "How lucky are the people who will be living there!"

The delegation visiting The Pearl-Qatar were in Doha to participate in the Third Annual International Forum on Children with Special Needs.

"I have heard a lot about this project, but did not expect to see this," added Mrs. Kaczynska. "You should feel proud. We admire your achievement."

Officials from United Development Company, owner and developer of The Pearl-Qatar, were on hand to welcome the delegation as it arrived at the Oyster, the Sales and Marketing center.

"The Pearl-Qatar has become the premier destination for most  visitors to Doha, said Salim Abdulrahim, General Manager of Sales at The Pearl. "This particular delegation, however, has come to Qatar for a truly noble cause and we at The Pearl-Qatar are honored that their visit to Doha included a visit to the Island."

Organized by the Shafallah Centre for Children with Special Needs, the three-day conference on 'Sports and Ability' featured 250 policy makers, educators, persons with disabilities and leaders in the field discussing how sports can change the lives of the disabled.
