Prince Faisal Bin Fahad Al Saud Provides Keynote Address At International Conference, Cityscape

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

The Kingdom's exponential real estate growth has led many leading Middle East industry experts to speak out about the need for further architectural creativity and vision in the construction sector that reflects the changing lifestyles of the buildings' inhabitants.

One such expert is His Highness Prince Faisal Bin Fahad Al Saud, Chairman, FAMA Holding Co Ltd., Chairman and CEO, F6, Saudi Arabia, who will share his vision of the new Middle East real estate landscape at the upcoming Cityscape exhibition and congress, according to sources in his executive office.

Entitled 'Exceeding Customer Expectations: A Platform for Innovation and Success,' the prime focus of his presentation will be on what people want and need in their living space, a valid and contemporary concept, that has transformed the way real estate is being developed in the region.

"Whether at home, in the office or on a vacation, one is constantly seeking balance and peace within that space. Stress, uncertainty, multiple responsibilities and life's daily duties are just some of the contributory factors that create disharmony in one's daily life.   FAMA and F6 are designed to help alleviate this disharmony," said His Highness Prince Faisal Bin Fahad Al Saud.

"Whether it's in the quality homes we build, our world-class resorts, spas and wellness villages, or retail facilities, balance and continuity are achieved with innovation and originality," he added.

Recently FAMA has received a number of accolades for its most ambitious leisure/residential development in Saudi Arabia, Sunset Beach in Al Khobar.  With a construction cost of SAR 600 million, Sunset Beach has become the region's premier lifestyle resort and spa with more than 200 luxury residences. The resort was also selected as a venue for the U.I.M. Formula One Powerboat races held in March 2004.

"Our aim has always been clear from the start - to consolidate the Kingdom's position not only regionally but also internationally by attracting the world's attention to the Kingdom's growth, prosperity and ability to host any major event with expertise," said the Prince commenting on the resort's initial success.

Over 70 speakers will attend the Cityscape 2004 Conference - the region's premier property investment and development event. Running alongside this world-class conference is the Cityscape 2004 exhibition, which this year will attract over 5,000 leading international figures from the real estate industry.

"As the architect behind such pioneering real estate projects in the Kingdom as the Sunset Beach Resort, H.H. Prince Faisal has staked his claim on the title of regional visionary.  His ongoing and growing commitment to the development of Saudi Arabia as a leisure destination offering globally recognized and unparalleled facilities is commendable and we look forward to gaining insight and inspiration from his words," said Shabnam Rawal, Conference Director, IIR, organizers of Cityscape 2004.

Other delegates to the Cityscape 2004, taking place at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre from 29 November to 1 December, include Imad Fakhoury, chairman designate, Aqaba Development Corporation; Esam Y. Janahi, CEO, Gulf Finance House, Bahrain, Farouk Kamal, Chairman, Beirut Waterfront Development, Fawaz Shalan, chief executive officer, Medicare, Jordan; and Fred Van Eijk, CEO, Qatar Tourism Authority.
