Dubai, naseba, a leading business information company hosted the fist GCC HR Excellency Awards in Dubai last week at One & Only Royal Mirage, Dubai.
The awards rewarded leadership, excellence, innovation and the exceptional milestones of the development of the HR area in the region. Leading private and public companies, who have demonstrated outstanding achievements contested for several categories. The jury consisted of the senior decision makers from the Knowledge and Human Resource Development Authority, TANMIA and Eye of Dubai, based their decision on various aspects including excellence in HR strategy and management, innovation and creative development of solutions, strong relationships both with top management and employees as well as personal characteristics, amongst others.
The award winning web portal in the fields of tourism and commerce, Eye O f Dubai, presented the best nationalization friendly initiative award to Oman International Bank by its CEO, Abdullah AL Harbi.
Oman International Bank has a highly skilled professional team of over 900 members with a ratio of 90.82% of the country's nationals engaged at all staffing levels at the organization. The company has always believed in its slogan of being a friend and partner of each and every person in its country and ensured all the initiatives were driven towards 'Omanisation'
Abdullah Al Harbi congratulated the Oman International Bank for their great effort towards Omanisation and said he is expecting to see the same type of approach in the rest of GCC.
"The successful Nationalization process requires the support of the highest management within the company and needs to be shared with everyone in the company in order to apply the best practice. Nationalization programs also motivate nationals, as the organization shows valuation to the talent. A well designed and applied nationalization program will be a great benefit for the economies of developing countries", Abdullah Al Harbi concluded.
