Cloud computing reduces costs and increases productivity as well as profits
EXA Information Technologies and Detecon Al Saudia announced the launch of their hosted application virtualization platform ClouDEX, www.cloudex.sa. The launch event took place during a special conference held by Detecon Al Saudia in the Omsiat ballroom at the Faisaliah hotel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Sunday 27th November 2011. During the conference, ClouDEX's products as well as the future roadmap providing advanced cloud computing services to the Saudi market and the Arab world were announced, while celebrating the German TÜViT "Trusted Infrastructure Site Level 3 extended" certificate obtained by Detecon Al Saudia for its data center from the independent German IT security auditor TÜViT.
Mr. Gerhard Jung, President and CEO of Detecon Al Saudia started the conference by giving a presentation stressing the long experience of Detecon Al Saudia, and how it gained the confidence of its Saudi customers and partners by providing excellent services in the most reliable way. After that the TÜViT representatives took the stand in order to explain the important role of certification for proofing quality to customers through an independent verification source. Dirk Doerrschuck, Vice President, Information and Communication Technologies, Detecon Al Saudia followed with a presentation explaining the services provided by ClouDEX together with Engineer Sami Al-Helwah, CEO of EXA IT, who went over to showcase the road map of ClouDEX for the next 12 month.
After the roadmap had been laid out Sami Al Helwah initiated an online demo on the Cloud Infrastructure services of ClouDEX and Detecon Al Saudia Vice President Dirk Doerrschuck added that: "Cloud Application services have to come into Saudi Arabia, it will support market growth for all businesses and institutions with heavy IT infrastructure dependencies such as Banking, Oil & Gas, Insurance, Retail and Government." Future services in 2012 will include an extended VPS template pool (OS & Apps), expanded Microsoft Cloud Applications Portfolio and the SAP "All in One" suite for enterprise customers. In 2013 Oracle cloud database and CRM applications will be following.
Commenting on this occasion, Engineer Sami Al-Helwah, CEO of EXA IT said: "Cloud computing is the natural evolution of the IT industry.
