Abu Dhabi - Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi held today an Open Day that attracted over 1000 visitors who explored the university’s 30+ undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, in Humanities, Sciences, Languages, Social Sciences, Law, Economics and Management, and learnt more about the university’s degrees that are awarded by France and accredited by the Commission for Academic Accreditation in the UAE and recognised globally.

During the Open Day attendees had the opportunity to tour the 93,000 square meters state-of-the-art campus and facilities and learnt about the various scholarship opportunities. Moreover, the event welcomed participants from different schools, counsellors, parents and professionals.

Dr Laurence Renault, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic Affairs Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, commented on the success of the Open Day: “We were delighted to host so many visitors to our campus. The Open Day was a great opportunity for the community to explore our university and discover the unique aspects of Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi. We are devoted to delivering a comprehensive and holistic educational experience, with an unwavering commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and student enhancement. We are keen on furnishing our students with a remarkable learning experience that equips them with skills to strive in their different fields to keep up with the evolving world”.

The event included campus tours of the Library, Scai Lab, Career Centre, Sports Hall, on-site student residence, Canteen, Theaters, Classrooms, Student Clubs' Area and more. Additionally, motivational sessions, French language workshops, Science and Artificial Intelligence workshops, and informative sessions were held, providing further information on the French system, the admission process, and other entry criteria.

Students who applied for bachelor and master degree programmes before 22 February 2023 were eligible to receive a fee waiver of up to 3,000 AED, providing them with an added incentive to apply.
