Visitors to the 7th Middle East International Motorshow this year have been flocking to the European 4x4 Challenge circuit to experience for themselves the thrills and challenge of the purpose built circuit, which gives them an opportunity to test drive some of the top international models totally free.
The circuit, which is located near the Novotel World Trade Centre hotel, has been attracting hordes of enthusiasts who are itching to try their hand at negotiating the slopes, bumps and other obstacles in their off-road vehicles.
“The circuit which made its Middle East debut at the Motorshow this year is a one of its kind demonstration circuit that has added a new avenue to the show and strengthens its position as the region’s most important automotive event,” said DWTC Director General, Mubarak bin Fahad.
He noted that this first of its kind circuit in the region would offer an area of up to 4,000 sq.m. and will be individually planned and securely built.
The 4x4 circuit is an interactive feature that will provide exhibitors with an attractive and effective prospect to introduce their cars to the end user for test drives and thereby help boost sales.
“We are geared up to handle a minimum of 1,000 visitors a day who are availing the test drives and our professional team of off-road instructors and executers guarantee good information and coordination with each participant and assists in realizing their individual needs, said Naoum Kikano, Managing Director Alpha Omega Services who are organizing the circuit.”
The difficulty of the track is established based on a vehicle with modest off road capability and the track can handle up to 14 vehicles on the move at one time. The track includes up and downhill slopes of varying heights as well as big and small obstacles of differing angles and gradients.
