Abu Dhabi, UAE, June 30, 2009 - Etisalat today unveiled a special summer promotion in which new and existing pre-paid 'Wasel' subscribers get 100 per cent money back on new Wasel connections, Wasel renewals and reactivations to be used on international calls. The AED165 credit for new subscribers and AED100 credit for renewals and reactivations will be granted over a three-month period and are valid for 30 days each. The offer starts tomorrow July 1, 2009 and is valid till September 30, 2009.

For new Wasel customers, Etisalat will return the AED 165 connection fee with AED 165 worth of international calls and an additional AED 10 usable for any call or message service. Subscribers will receive AED 60 of the credit at activation (50+10), and AED 50 and AED 65 respectively at the beginning of the second and third months. Customers can dial *121*5# to check their free international credit balance on activation.
  
Existing Wasel customers can also benefit from this special offer. They can take advantage of this offer even before the expiry date to get the benefits in advance. Etisalat will return the AED 100 renewal fee with AED 100 worth of credit in three instalments with AED 40 at the time of renewal, and AED 35 and AED 25 respectively in the second and third months. Customers can dial *121*4# to check their free international credit balance for renewing their Wasel accounts.

Customers with expired Wasel accounts can also use the offer to reactivate their connections, but within 3 months of the date of expiry. They will get back the AED 100 fee in credit towards international calls in three instalments with AED 40 at the time of reactivation, and AED 35 and AED 25 respectively in the second and third months. As part of the summer offer, Etisalat will not charge any additional fee for reactivations.  Customers can dial *121*6# to check their free international credit balance on reactivating, customers can visit the nearest client servicing centres or outlets to reactivate expired lines

The summer offer can be combined with any of Etisalat's four pricing plans- Favourite Country Plan, Super Off-Peak, Global Friends and Family, and the special 'My Bouquet plan - to double customer savings, Al Haddad said.

The Favorite Country Plan delivers 25 per cent discounts over the normal peak/off peak for postpaid connections, and 20 per cent discounts for Wasel connections. With the Global Friends & Family plan, customers can select any three international numbers for 24-hour discounts of 20 per cent, for a monthly fee of AED 20. Customers can also subscribe to the Super Off-Peak plan to get 50 per cent savings on the off-peak rate for international calls from 1am to 7am everyday. As for the "Bouquet" specially designed for women, three options are available for bouquets of International calls.
