Abu Dhabi, October 28th 2006: Etisalat, U.A.E.'s leading telecommunications service provider, today announced two new offers available to both pre-paid as well as post paid subscribers to Etisalat's mobile services. The two offers, 'Favourite Number offer' and 'National and International SMS Packages', are aimed at providing customers with enhanced value and benefits for the use of Etisalat's mobile telephony services, across the region.

Between October 29, 2006 and November 3, 2006, subscribers can begin pre-registering, free of cost, to Etisalat's 'Favourite Number offer'. As part of this offer, customers will be able to register 2 favourite numbers (1 local and 1 international) for which they would be charged off-peak rates, throughout the day, when calling these numbers during the promotion period of November 5, 2006 to December 4, 2006.

Customers would only be able to register for this offer by sending an SMS in the following format to 1010 - r fn <00(country code)(area code)(international destination number)> . . This offer is valid for all GSM Postpaid & Wasel Prepaid customers.

Etisalat also announced new 'National and International SMS Packages' which would be introduced shortly for postpaid and prepaid mobile customers. These packages  have been designed to enable customers to choose appropriate SMS packages, which would allow them to derive maximum value for their money spent, depending on their usage and preferences.

As part of the National SMS Package, customers would have a choice of 5 packages to choose from. Package 1 would be priced at AED 5 and would include 25 messages, Package 2 would be priced at AED 9 and would include 50 messages. Package 3 would be priced at AED 17 and would include 100 messages. Package 4 would be priced at AED 50 and would include 300 messages. Package 5 would be priced at AED 150 and would include 1000 messages.

Customers who choose not to subscribe to any of the above packages would be charged per national SMS message at 30 fils.

As part of the International SMS Packages, customers would now have a choice of 4 packages to choose from. Package 1 would be priced at AED 13 and would include 20 messages. Package 2 would be priced at AED 18 and would include 30 messages. Package 3 would be priced at AED 27 and would include 50 messages. Package 4 would be priced at AED 50 and would include 100 messages.

Customers who choose not to subscribe to any of the above packages would be charged per international SMS message at 90 fils.
