Etihad Towers Abu Dhabi awarded 1st place amongst a strong international group of competitors from 98 countries at International Property Awards

Jumeirah at Etihad Towers also presented with more than 25 awards in 2013

Abu Dhabi, UAE; 17 December 2013: Etihad Towers Abu Dhabi - the luxury mixed-use development, built by His highness Sheikh Suroor's Projects Department (SSPD) and managed by Etihad Towers for Real Estate (ETRE) in the heart of the UAE capital has been awarded the 'Best International Commercial High Rise Development' at the esteemed International Property Awards global competition. The event which took place in London on 6th December commended the world's finest properties and real estate developments. A total of 72 international judges agreed to the findings and Etihad Towers secured 1st place among a strong international group of competitors coming from 98 countries.

The International Property Awards, now in its 20th year, is the world's richest competition when measured by the value of the projects entered. The award winners' logo is recognised as a symbol of excellence throughout the global industry. The International Property Awards rank amongst the most prestigious commendations in the arena of development and real estate.

Richard Foulds added: "Etihad Towers secured its position for the global entry by winning two 1st place awards for 'Best Residential High-rise Development Arabia' and 'Best Commercial High-rise Development Arabia' at last month's Arabia and Africa awards in Dubai.  This was complemented by three 5 star awards for 'Best Residential, Commercial and Mixed-use Developments Abu Dhabi'.  With such strong competition from the US, Europe and Far East, we were thrilled to secure this latest award."

Jumeirah at Etihad Towers, the 5 star 380 room hotel within the Etihad Towers complex has also won 25 industry awards throughout  2013 including "Best Business Hotel in Abu Dhabi" by Business Traveller Middle East Awards 2013, "Middle East's Leading Hotel", "Abu Dhabi's Leading Hotel" and "World's Leading Meetings & Conference Hotel" by World Travel Awards 2013,"TripAdvisor 2013 Certificate of Excellence" for Quest Restaurant, "Abu Dhabi Gourmet Regional Chef of the Year 2013" for Chef Jouni Ibrahim, Chef de Cuisine, Li Beirut and Expedia® Insiders' Select™2013 Winner.

Jumeirah at Etihad Towers' restaurants also received recognition from What's On Black Hat Guide 2013 where Brasserie Angélique, Li Beirut, Quest and Scott's restaurants received three hats, BiCE restaurant received two hats and Rosewater restaurant received one hat. The restaurants also received acknowledgment from What's On Abu Dhabi Awards 2013 where Brasserie Angélique received "Best New Restaurant Abu Dhabi", Scott's "Best British Restaurant" and "Best Seafood Restaurant" and Tori No Su "Best Japanese Restaurant".

Time Out Abu Dhabi Restaurant Awards 2013 also recognised Brasserie Angélique as "Best New Restaurant Abu Dhabi" and Highly "Commended Best Contemporary European Restaurant", Li Beirut as "Best MENA Restaurant", BICE as "Highly Commended Best Italian Restaurant" and Nahaam as "Highly Commended Best Brunch".
