Dubai, August 11, 2009: ETA Star, a leading property developer in the UAE, announced today that it has received the ISO 9001:2008 certification. The certificate is an endorsement to the fact that ETA Star Properties has established a systematic approach to quality management with their managements systems, managing its business to ensure their customers' needs are clearly understood, agreed and fulfilled.
ETA Star Properties, in 2006, was among the first developers in the UAE to receive the ISO certification. The ISO issued a new revision of the standard in 2008. ETA Star adjusted its Quality Management System to the requirements of the renewed version, underwent the certification process, and is now amongst the first few organizations in the UAE to achieve the standards.
On receiving the certification, Mr. Abid Junaid, Executive Director, ETA Star Properties, said, "We are pleased to receive the ISO 9001:2008 certification. This certification is the model for quality assurance. Our goal has always been to serve our customers to the best of quality standards and services, and improve the culture of good management practice. The certification is a further endorsement to that."
The International Organization for Standardization, or ISO, is the world's largest developer and publisher of International Standards.
The ISO 9001 certification is the most comprehensive quality management standard covering all main processes within a company, ranging from research and development to delivery, ensuring that these processes are not only conducted under controlled conditions, but are also subject to continuous improvement.
The ISO 9001:2008 specifies requirements for a quality management system where an organization needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
