Ericsson has announced it will show its leading innovative solutions and services inline with the latest global industry's trends at the Cairo ICT 2007 held on February 4 to 7, 2007.

At this year's event, Ericsson will focus on how its Multimedia and Full Service Broadband offerings assist mobile and fixed operators to create new revenue streams and take the lead over the competition.

Ericsson's key focus areas during this cutting-edge four-day event will include:

The Full Service Broadband offering: Ericsson will demonstrate how it partners with customers and take on a role as the single point of contact for an efficient business and network evolution. The unique combination of products and services based on Ericsson end2end solutions provides operators means of revenue generating differentiation while boosting service usage.

Charging for Converged Networks: Ericsson believes that operators need to differentiate their service offering which is best achieved by having a comprehensive portfolio of easy-to-use services that are competitively priced. The billing mechanisms must incorporate pre-and post-paid charging options along with effective credit and fraud control. At the show, Ericsson will be presenting how its converged network integrated systems deliver innovative charging methods that are designed to support millions of users with personalized suite of services.

Learning Services: Ericsson believes that today's telecom business is driven by the right skills and competence that make the best use of technology. During the exhibition, Ericsson will present to visitors how it provides the most comprehensive Learning & Education Services portfolio to strengthen operator's competitiveness.

Multimedia Applications: Ericsson will showcase its active leading role in defining how telecoms, media and internet industries can shape this emerging market in a profitable way for all value chain players. Ericsson is not only providing this from a technology perspective, but also via end2end business proposition, by bundling its market understanding and strategy consulting to its multimedia portfolio.

High-Speed Packet Access Mobile Technology:The HSPA technology supporting the third generation of mobile networks enables operators to introduce wide range of premium quality multimedia and high-speed data services to mobile subscribers. Ericsson's HSPA solution enables peak download speeds of up to 14.4 Mbps, an exceptional speed that visitors will witness at Ericsson booth. On average, users will be able to download 20 times faster than using GSM/ GPRS.

Mobile TV: Ericsson plays a leading role in expanding this new wave of media and entertainment services, enabling operators with mobile TV solutions today. Mobile TV is about providing the user with a rich media experience including freedom in both space and time, a completely new attractive application that visitors of Ericsson booth will experience.

Ericsson's stand will be located in Hall 4 at the Cairo International Conference Center in Nasr City.

In addition to Ericsson's strong contribution at the exhibition, it will also present its views on the latest IP networking solutions at the official forum on February 6, 2007. Ericsson's speaker will highlight how seamless delivery of integrated multimedia services across both multiple fixed and wireless network accesses provides the end-users with best balance of bandwidth, convenience and quality of services.
