Standalone device ideally suited for small classrooms and businesses with limited space

Epson has launched the EMP-1700 XGA 3LCD projector in the Middle East, offering the region's business and education sectors an ideal lightweight solution with market leading technology. The compact and stylish projector features 2200 ANSI lumens brightness and weighs just 1.6 kg, which make it an ideal presentation tool for mobile professionals seeking premium quality, high-brightness and portability.  It also gives an equally strong performance when installed in the meeting room

Khalil El-Dalu, General Manager, Epson Middle East said: "The EMP-1710 demonstrates Epson's commitment to developing premium-quality, innovative imaging technologies that provide presenters with greater functionality, increased flexibility and premium quality output, reaffirming Epson's place at the forefront of advanced mobile presentation tools."

Epson has incorporated a number of features in the EMP-1700 for improved ease of use. A Quick Start feature means the projector only takes five seconds to warm up while its standalone functionality allows users to show their presentations from a USB memory key, doing away with the need for a laptop.

The EMP-1700's improved transfer rate of USB 2.0, allows users to easily view their high-quality images as projected thumbnails directly from the USB memory key and the pause, fast-forward and rewind facility during MPEG2 playback, offers presenters the freedom to move away from the computer during a presentation.

The AV Mute Slide allows users to temporarily blank out the presentation to refocus the audience's attention, particularly when presenting to younger audiences or covering a complex topic. Additionally, a 60 inch screen can be projected from a distance of only two metres, which is perfect for educational environments with small classrooms or business with limited space.

The EMP-1700's Instant Off facility means the projector can be switched off immediately or within 10 seconds when ceiling mounted, so that users don't need to wait for it to cool down. The projector can be easily serviced and replacement bulbs can be fitted without removing the projector from the ceiling mount.

With a sleek, modern design the EMP-1700 features advanced 3LCD technology that achieves vivid colours, clear and smooth images and sharp video playback.  Epson's E-TORL lamp technology ensures super brightness with market-leading low power consumption.

The EMP-1700 comes equipped with advanced EasyMP technology, remote control and an intuitive control panel, low fan noise of only 35dB in Eco mode, USB enabled storage, anti-theft security functions such as Power on Protection, User's Logo Protect and Timer Key Local Protect; and a protective ultra-small soft carry case.

"With its new EMP-1700 projector, Epson has once again come up with a high-performing mobile presentation device that is ideally suited to meet the evolving needs of the region's growing mobile workforce and education professionals," El-Dalu added.
