EPSON Middle East has launched the Perfection 2480 Photo providing outstanding features and high specification at an entry-level price. The new scanner will be the natural successor to the EPSON Perfection 1670 Photo and is targeted at home users who want to scan films at home.
"This new scanner offers users high resolution, improved photo restoration and fast film scanning. At the same time, we have ensured that Perfection 2480 is incredibly easy to use, with easily scanned film negatives enabling the user to make high quality enlargements at home" said Khalil El-Dalu.
The EPSON Perfection 2480 Photo is aimed at home users who require an all-round scanner that can handle high-definition images as well as 35mm film. It captures details at an impressive 2400 x 4800 dpi, allowing users to create photo-quality A3 prints from 35mm film. In addition, the device includes a built-in film adapter for digitising positive and negative film, removing the need for a separate film scanner. The user can restore precious memories with the built-in colour restoration and dust removal features, old film and photographs can be returned to bright, colourful prints.
Among the several features of the EPSON Perfection 2480 is the simple one-click, scan to email, scan to web, scan and save and copy tools. Perfection 2480 Photo is equipped with a Standard USB 2.0 hi-speed interface that offers fast scanning whilst maintaining compatibility with standard USB 1.1. An optional multi photo feeder is also available for easier 10" x 15" photo scanning. The bundled software complements the product and includes the latest version of the EPSON scan application, the ArcSoft PhotoImpression 5 photo creativity software and ABBYY FineReader 5 Sprint OCR software.
