Epicor iScala to Help Seabird Aviation Jordan to Better Manage its Resources and Improve Efficiency
Amman, Jordan, October 21, 2004: Epicor Software Corporation (NASDAQ: EPIC), a leading provider of integrated enterprise software solutions for the midmarket, today announced the Dubai-based regional headquarters of Epicor Scala has been selected to conduct a significant enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementation for Seabird Aviation Jordan (SAJ).
Established in July 2003, Seabird Aviation Jordan is a joint venture company between the King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau (KADDB) of Jordan and Seabird Aviation Australia, makers of the innovative Seeker aerial surveillance platform and distributor of the JABIRU range of light aircraft. SAJ portfolio includes all aspects of the aircraft business ranging from design, service, leasing and after-sales support. In June 2004 Seabird announced the recite of a multi million dollars contract for the supply of aircraft to Iraq since then orders have been announced for South Africa and Ghana
Speaking on the deal, Mr. Alec Mackenzie, chairman of the Board of Seabird Aviation Jordan said, "We needed a comprehensive and integrated ERP package, with a robust serial number and batch tracking capability and Epicor iScala met our requirements".
Epicor iScala's comprehensive product functionality - integrated, collaborative modules delivering optimal value to the customer at a competitive pricing - were key factors that helped Epicor Scala win the SAJ ERP implementation deal.

The Epicor iScala MPC module is used to plan, control and execute all manufacturing activities based on MRP II concepts and work orders. Most repetitive manufacturing and re-manufacturing environments are supported, from simple assembly through to complex production lines with multiple work centers. It includes integration to production systems through the Manufacturing Application Integration connectivity solution and can be enhanced with graphical capacity planning and other iScala tools. The iScala SCM tool helps streamline the complete supply chain, enabling a company to not just better utilize its resources (by addressing duplication of processes, multiple vendors for same function etc.) but also help it in better planning and forecasting of its demand, supply and configuration requirements.
The key modules of the Epicor iScala suite to be implemented at SAJ include Financials Management, Logistics Management, Manufacturing Planning & Control (MPC), Supply Chain Tools, and Payroll Management.
Epicor iScala is a globally available ERP solution, fully supported by the standard Signature implementation methodology. A set of migration tools is available for existing Epicor Scala customers who wish to migrate or upgrade to the latest release.
