Dubai, UAE – 6 October 2016: Entrepreneurs’ Organisation (EO) UAE, the local chapter of the dynamic global network of entrepreneurs, was pleased to invite a group of its members to a learning session with the special guest host Peter England, CEO of RAKBANK, at the event ‘In the Boardroom’ (ITB), which was held at the Taj Hotel in Dubai. EO members were brought together and invited to receive insights into the current economic activity in the UAE, the challenges and opportunities that the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) face in the different sectors of the local market.
The ITB initiative brings public and private sector business people and leaders together to inspire entrepreneurs, also providing a better understanding of the otherwise difficult to penetrate markets.
Bilal Alibhai, President of Entrepreneurs’ Organisation UAE comments “The EO was honoured to be so graciously joined by RAKBANK CEO Peter England. With over 33 years’ experience in the banking sector and has been the Chief Executive Officer of RAKBANK since 2013, the organisation is honoured to have Mr. England as a contributor to our monthly ITB event.”
Peter England, CEO of RAKBANK, said: “We thank EO UAE for giving us the opportunity to meet with an exceptional group of entrepreneurs that contribute to the growth of the UAE economy. RAKBANK recognises the need to provide this valued segment with the necessary support and is fully dedicated to cater to their banking requirements. We believe in the growth and opportunities that the business sector provides and would like to reiterate our constant commitment towards SMEs.”
The Entrepreneurs’ Organisation is a global community of energetic entrepreneurs from all walks of life, each of which run their own businesses. With a common bond of the desire to grow their businesses, learn from other and share their experiences, the ITB events expand their networks and help them with this end goal. The local EO UAE chapter is made up of over 76 entrepreneurs over many diversified industries.
About Entrepreneurs’ Organisation
As entrepreneurs, sharing is an integral part of our journey. It is through the exchange of experiences, insights and passions that we are able to learn and grow from one another. This year, our efforts will be driven by a new organizational theme: Share to Learn. Share for Life. This theme represents the impact of investment through contribution. When we share, we invest in our own experiences and those of our peers, while contributing to build a more united, yet diverse, community. Nearly 30 years ago, EO was founded by a group of entrepreneurs who saw sharing as a solution, and it has been an integral part of our DNA ever since. Now, we are taking this tradition up a notch. Why? Because the more we share, the more valuable we become to each other, our organization and the world.
