Agreement to develop eLearning training programme on ethics and compliance for all ENOC staff
ENOC continues to develop programmes aimed at human capital development
Dubai, UAE: Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) has signed an agreement with Thomson Reuters to develop an eLearning suite training programme on ethics and compliance for its staff to strengthen their ability to engage with real-life scenarios of ethical best practices within the highly regulated oil & gas industry. The agreement was signed at ENOC headquarters in the presence of H.E Saif Humaid Al Falasi, CEO of ENOC Group; and Nadim Najjar, Managing Director Middle East & North Africa, Thomson Reuters.
The agreement was signed following a visit by ENOC's senior delegation to Thomson Reuters' in London, to commemorate the long-standing business relationship between both entities.
The eLearning modules offer practical and interactive solutions to support a culture of integrity built on the principles of the Group's Code of Business Conduct. The Code is focused on providing a clear insight and understanding of the corporate values, responsibilities, obligations and ethical ambitions of ENOC, both to its staff, its partners and stakeholders. The partnership also highlights ENOC's ongoing commitment to human capital development within the organisation.
The eLearning programmes will allow ENOC to deliver a 'Conflicts of Interest' video; a Fraud Awareness course, and a game-based course which will showcase several scenarios to educate staff on how best to manage ethical situations with references from ENOC's Code of Business Conduct. Training on other emerging ethical topics will also be introduced as part of the eLearning suite.

ENOC has invested in numerous development initiatives across the group companies, ranging from accredited Behavioural Skills programmes specifically designed to develop competencies as per the ENOC functional and behavioural competency model, to a Sales Academy in Marketing and Safety Leadership Initiatives. Every year an average of over 1,000 employees are trained within the ENOC corporate training centre, with over 4,000 in the Retail Training Centre.

ENOC has a corporate training and development centre which offers a wide range of services including career development & counselling, competency development, and National Development Programmes. Since 2010, over 200 UAE Nationals have participated in National Development Programmes, of which 25% have been promoted to higher positions and 15% involved in lateral career moves.
The National Development Programme at ENOC covers a range of courses for non-graduate UAE nationals in technician, operator and site in-charge positions; a graduate development programme for supervisory level and individual contributors, another for talented nationals who are at managerial levels and an executive leadership programme.
