United Arab Emirates, Dubai- 6 July 2008:  Emirates NBD announced the launch of the Credit Card Installment Plan which allows Emirates Bank cardholders to convert any retail purchases over AED 1000 into an installment plan and settle in easy and convenient, monthly installments.

Mr. Suvo Sarkar, Emirates NBD General Manager, Retail Banking said, "The Emirates Bank Installment Plan is devised to offer our cardholders a quick, easy and convenient solution to high-ticketed purchases. The installment plan is very consumer-centric and offers the customer an array of attractive key features which will inevitably help them to enjoy the lifestyles that suites them."

All Emirates Bank Cardholders can easily attain the Installment Plan by making a simple phone call to the bank once they have made the purchase on their Emirates Bank Credit Card.  There are no forms and no faxes involved in the procedure.  The installment plan offers the  customer ultimate flexibility with a wide choice of convenient monthly tenures to suit the customer- 3, 6, 9, 12, 24, and 36 months.  With a substantially low interest rate of just 0.80% per month, the installment plan offers the customer an economical solution to big purchases. The minimum transaction amount is AED 1000 and customers must convert to the Emirates Bank Installment Plan within 50 days of making the purchase.
