The Higher Management Committee at the Emirates Identity Authority has stressed that all the logistical and technical work is complete at the Authority's new headquarters in Khalifa City A. The Committee called upon all the staff to prepare themselves to begin work at the new headquarters, which mark a new turning point in the Emirates ID's pursuit of excellence and innovation.

The Committee called upon the staff members to double their efforts in order to bring about a quantum leap in performance standards, especially in regard to the services being rendered by the Authority to its customers in line with the best international practices.

The Committee, which met for its first meeting in the year 2015 and presided over by HE Mosabbah Al Mesmari, the Chairman of the Committee, pointed out that the new headquarters would provide the staff a host of facilities meant to improve their working environment. The Committee decided to form a work team to oversee the process of shift to the new headquarters and directed it to make sure the shift is smooth and hassle-free.

The new headquarters of the Emirates ID is unique in many respects as it visually jells well with the logo and concept of the Authority while its interior is designed to reflect the culture and heritage of the UAE along with a contemporary touch indicative of the progress the country has made. The office space is designed in a way that facilitates the achievement of one of the pivotal element in the Authority's strategic plan 2014-2016, namely, guaranteeing the provision of all the administrative services in line with the highest quality and competence standards.

The new building conforms to the 'green' standards that the Emirates ID had launched for all its facilities, ensuring optimal use of power, water and other resources. The building has in-built mechanisms to optimize the use of power in it and to reduce the carbon footprint, aiming to make the building fully sustainable environmentally in line with the UAE Vision 2021.

The new headquarters comprises 20000 square meters of space, consisting of two buildings that can accommodate 250 offices, the first being for the administration with four floors plus ground and basement floors. It comprises several service facilities like training, meeting and conference halls, besides a special meeting room for the Governing Board. The second building called Al Qubba has three floors, comprising a customer services centre in line with the UAE government's seven-star program. It also includes offices, health club, cafeteria, prayer room and other facilities for the staff, in addition to 200 parking slots, besides parking slots for visitors.

The meeting, attended by the members of the Committee Naser Al Mazrouei, Executive Director for Services Centers Operations, Ayesha Al Rayesi, Executive Director for Central Operations, and Yousuf Ahmed Al Baluchi, Consultant of Registration Centers, discussed a number of issues listed on the agenda and took necessary decisions.
